Design

Reverse: The coin’s iconic design features a bounding kangaroo surrounded by stylised rays of bursting sunlight. Inscriptions on a wavy-lined border include ‘AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO’, the coin’s weight, purity, year-date, and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

Obverse: Depicts the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, along with the monetary denomination.

Authentication Feature

The reverse side of the coin includes a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the design, detectable only under a magnifying glass.
